They, however, are working on the long range solutions to individual's problems of unemployment, inadequate housing, lonliness, and hunger.

It is importent for individual citizens to step up to the responsibility to help solve some of the immediate and local area's needs wherever thay can. ST. PATS'S THRIFT STORE:

• Location: E. Main, Waukon

  • Clothing Items

WAUKON FOOD SHELF:

• Contact: Mrs. Meyers - 563-568-4088
  • Needs help from 6 men once a month on the 3rd Thursday to help unload truck
  • Needs help from anyone on Thursdays from 9AM to 1P)M giving out food boxes.

POSTVILLE FOOD SHELF:

  • Needs help from anyone on Saturday mornings from 9 AM to 12 Noon organizing and putting away donations.

HELPING SERVICES (DECORAH):

• Contact: 563-382-2989
  • Crisis counselor training is done when enough people sign up.
  • Crises counselor gets calls transfered to their home or cell phone from 5 PM to 8 AM.
  • Mentoring program needs people 18 years and older who can donate at least 5 hour per month.

  • Mentoring is available in Waukon and surrounding areas.

ST. PATS THRIFT STORE
